Jomafil and Recutex create new agricultural felt

Jomafil, in partnership with Recutex, has developed a new agricultural felt made from post-consumer materials such as used clothes, discarded textiles and old uniforms. This new material can also be used in construction as a thermal and acoustic insulator.

‘This felt protects the soil, improves moisture retention and reduces the proliferation of weeds, enabling effective revitalisation of agricultural land,’ the waste processing company explains to T Jornal.

‘The joint effort of our teams was essential in turning this idea into reality,’ he continues, explaining that Recutex is responsible for guaranteeing the continuous supply of raw materials.

‘Recutex would like to thank Jomafil for their trust and joint commitment to the application of post-consumer recycled products in the production of innovative and sustainable felts,’ commented João Valério, CEO of Recutex, on his Linkedin page.
