JF Almeida puts bedding at the heart of its Heimtextil 2026 strategy

JF Almeida made a significant investment for the 2026 edition of Heimtextil, more than doubling its exhibition space to fully showcase its bedding range. This business segment, launched around two years ago, is one of the company’s main priorities for the new year.

After occupying 60 square meters in 2025, JF Almeida now presents its offer across 195 square meters, featuring four beds made from different materials: linen, flannel, gauze and honeycomb weaves.

The new stand is inspired by the Nordic Barnhouse concept, described by the company as “a contemporary interpretation of the traditional barn, designed to create a spacious, welcoming environment deeply connected to nature.”

João Almeida, managing director, told T Jornal that he expects 2026 to “be a year to reap what was sown in 2025,” highlighting that the layout change is already having a positive impact on the stand’s dynamics.

“We had a busy morning. The agenda is full, thanks to preparatory work with clients as well as potential buyers,” he added.

The move to Hall 5.0 is seen as a way to “bring more of Portugal together” and position national companies closer to the main entrances of the fair.

On social media, JF Almeida also highlighted that the stand was built with a strong focus on eco-friendly materials, and that a significant part of the collection was developed using existing stock yarns, maximising available resources and reinforcing a commitment to sustainability and circular economy principles.

Regarding Heimtextil’s planned expansion into the hospitality segment in 2027, Almeida considers this particularly interesting, as the company already operates in the sector. “Developing this segment is important. Tourism is growing, and JFA has products from A to Z to offer hotels,” he noted.

Among the novelties presented are 100% lyocell products with a cotton-like feel, 100% bamboo items with ultrafresh finishes ideal for hot climates, and complementary bedding products such as pajamas, bathrobes and shirts.

The exhibition also features a diverse colour catalogue, products certified as Egyptian cotton, and a collection dedicated to the children’s segment.
