The 7th iTechStyle Summit will take place from May 26 to 28 at Alfândega do Porto, aiming to uncover the driving threads of innovation for a smarter, more sustainable, and transparent industry.
Artificial Intelligence, bio-based textile solutions, digitalization, new recycling approaches, eco-design, and regulation are some of the key topics fueling and exemplifying this innovation.
The program has already been announced, confirming the participation of companies such as TMG Textiles, Riopele, and Lameirinho in three different panels. Organized by CITEVE, the event will also reveal the winners of the iTechStyle Awards.
On the first day, at 10:00 AM, António Braz Costa (CITEVE), Mário Jorge Machado (ATP/EURATEX), Alfred Bierl (Oeko-Tex), Lutz Walter (Textile ETP), and Thomas Gries (ITA Aachen) will discuss megatrends in the textile and apparel sector.
At 2:00 PM, regulatory challenges will be addressed with contributions from Paulo Cunha (European Parliament), Fernando Pimenta (ABIT), Cristina Carrola (Environmental Agency), and Alexandra Vilela (COMPETE2030). The presentations will conclude at 4:00 PM with a session on eco-design and eco-engineering, featuring Fernando Vasconcelos, Marketing Director at Mind Technology, as a speaker.
On May 27, the audience will explore AI-based solutions and learn more about digital product creation. In the morning session at 11:00 AM, CLO Virtual Fashion will take the stage alongside CITEVE, Smartex.AI, and F3M. In the afternoon, the University of Porto, CeNTI, CENTEXBEL, and ITA Aachen will continue sharing insights with a session on advanced material solutions.
TMG Textiles will join the 4:00 PM panel discussing “Textile Materials with Advanced Technologies.” Pedro Silva will be accompanied by Sandra Melo (Simoldes), Marco Silva (CeNTI), and Sílvia Reis (PLUX).
On the final day, May 28, at 9:00 AM, Ângela Teles from Riopele will present new recycling methods, followed by Jorge Leitão from Lameirinho, who will showcase bio-based textile solutions.
