Impetus is one of the Gold Partners of the 4th annual Challenge the Fabric (CTF) 2024. As an innovation partner of the CTFAward Award, it will supply materials (knits and fabrics) with renewcell fiber for a selected designer to develop a look that will compete for a prize.
André Rodrigues, the administrator of the Impetus Group, told T Jornal that “it will be the Swedish Fashion Council that will define the designer after evaluating the materials and fabrics that we will send”. The novelty of this edition, scheduled for the 14th and 15th of May in Milan, is precisely the CTFAward: a talent competition that challenges emerging designers to create looks made from MMCF fabrics (artificial cellulose fibers), as a way to promote and encourage the shift to bio-based and/or recycled materials.
Open to designers working for up to three years, the winner, selected by a jury of professionals in the sector, will receive a prize of more than nine thousand euros. CTF 2024 will also host inspiring talks and panel discussions from top leaders and organizations in the forestry, fashion, and textile industries.
