From March 17 to 20, Coelima participated in Market Week New York with its collection “Restore Joy, Reinvent Life,” aiming to bring happiness and hope for better days. The collection is structured around two conceptual themes: “Sensual Feelings,” which captures the charm of the French coastal style, and “Ancestral Know-Hows,” which merges traditions with modern technology.
Speaking to T Jornal, Isa Rodrigues explained that “Sensual Feelings” is inspired by delicate contrasts and the “happiness of union,” reflecting the elegance of seaside villages. This theme features a vibrant color palette of blues, greens, lavenders, oranges, and yellows, showcased in 100% cotton percale printed and yarn-dyed sheets, as well as 100% bamboo satin for a fresh and breathable touch.
Meanwhile, “Ancestral Know-Hows” consists of bedding sets in earthy tones of brown, beige, green, and blue, also made from 100% cotton percale and satin with a Superbsoft finish. Visitors also discovered cashmere and cotton blends, quilted items, and a variety of sleepwear.
“Our presence here aims to sustain business with our current American market clients and seek potential new customers—a process that, given the nature of Market Week, is carried out in advance,” said Paulo Almeida, Sales Director, also speaking to T Jornal. He acknowledged that each edition comes with challenges, with the main concern this time being “the impact of U.S. import tariffs on Portuguese products.”
