CITEVE IS A PARTNER IN THE BE.A.CO.N EUROPEAN PROJECT

Portugal is responsible for the fashion and textiles area in the European BE.A.CO.N project, which aims to develop transversal skills in vocational secondary education students. The program also involves institutions from Spain, Italy, and Romania, in which CITEVE is one of the partners. The project is within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 – Partnerships for cooperation in vocational education and training.

Among the main sectors of the European economy, the areas of study were chosen. Alongside textiles and fashion, students will receive training in the areas of food (Italy), information technology (Romania), and the mechanic sector (Spain).

The practical activities phase should start during January, with CITEVE, Escola das Virtudes – Cooperativa de Ensino Polivalente e Artístico, and Baldaque & Alves da Silva, Lda, responsible for developing the Portuguese training component.

In this sense, the 2nd technical meeting of the project took place recently in Porto, at Escola Profissional e Artística Árvore. The goals and practical questions of the transversal training model were analyzed, and in the end, the participants visited CITEVE facilities (photo).

The next stage involves the development of the Training Plan for each of the professional sectors involved, which is always work-based and aimed at solving production/manufacturing problems.
