CITEVE was in Paris with solutions developed under the Be@t, Be.Neutral, R2U and AM2R projects, to showcase the national industry as a supplier of technical textiles for the most diverse applications, namely: automotive, defence, aerospace, aeronautics, sports, construction, energy, furniture and health.
‘The (technological) centre has been exploring new fibres/yarns, textile structures (fabrics, knits and non-wovens), coatings, 3D printing, prepregs, preforms, incorporating materials of natural origin, carbon, basalt, recycled materials, sensor conductors, light and colour effects,’ the statement said.
At the CeNTI stand, visitors were also able to interact with composite solutions focused on sustainability and digitalization for various sectors, with particular emphasis on the integration of sensitization and the possibility of monitoring performance in real time.
Finally, Fibrenamics presented its most disruptive technological solutions applied to the mobility, protection/defence, habitat, health/sports and aeronautics/space sectors at the largest international trade fair dedicated to composite materials – JEC World.
Projects such as AuxDefense, LH4Auto, Recycled Reef, Ballistic Composite Panel and the Blue Bioeconomy Pact were showcased at the 60th edition of the event, whose theme this year was ‘Pushing the Limits’. The aim was to position the Institute as a catalyst for innovation.
