Burel Factory Spatial Solutions: a new identity for acoustic projects

Burel Factory is now communicating its acoustic solutions under a distinct identity, bringing them together under the Burel Factory Spatial Solutions brand. This segment now has its own dedicated section on the company’s website and a separate Instagram account, giving greater visibility to curtains, wall art, acoustic partitions, ceilings, furniture and other project elements among architects, interior designers and industry professionals.

The Burel Factory Spatial Solutions portfolio includes projects carried out in cities such as Copenhagen, Zurich, London, Paris, Munich and Rotterdam, demonstrating the company’s ability to combine tradition and innovation in international contexts.

With the motto “From Heritage to Performance,” Burel Factory aims to approach each space as a balanced system between acoustic performance, thermal comfort and materiality, while maintaining the tactile authenticity that characterises its products. In the brand’s own words: “At Burel Factory, we weave acoustic science and innovation on century-old looms.”

The brand further explains that “three-dimensional burel stitches transform surfaces into elements with relief and depth. They interact with light, creating plays of shadow and reinforcing visual identity.” Among the different types of 3D stitches are Azulejo, Cortes, Cross Draping, Channels, Honeycomb, Ruffles, Medas, Leivas and Origami, among others.

In 2025, Burel Factory had already expressed to T Jornal its ambition to internalise its architectural solutions. In fact, the brand already had a track record of developing bespoke projects, which it previously showcased on the Burel Architecture website.
