Brito Knitting Showcases TACTILITY at Milano Unica

As it celebrates its 30th anniversary, Brito Knitting returns to Milano Unica with TACTILITY, a collection inspired by the concept of “Human Touch” that places sensory experience, premium circular knits and responsible innovation at the heart of its offering. Developed with carefully selected natural and cellulosic fibres, the collection reflects the Portuguese company’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-end, sustainable textile solutions.

What collection are you presenting at this edition of MU? What inspired the creative direction of this collection?

Cláudia Bermudes, Brand & Business Development Director: At this edition of Milano Unica, Brito Knitting is presenting TACTILITY, a collection under the concept Human Touch, celebrating the value of products designed by and for people, where craftsmanship, comfort and emotional connection become essential.

TACTILITY explores sensorial experiences through premium circular knits developed with carefully selected natural and cellulosic fibres. We continue to strengthen our offering in high-end qualities that are seeing growing demand from premium fashion brands, including Lyocell, wool, organic cotton, Merino wool blends, Pima cotton, Micromodal, and cashmere.

The colour palette balances timeless sophistication with contemporary freshness, combining warm yellows and blues alongside classic indigo shades and enduring neutral tones. The result is a collection that reflects our commitment to quality, innovation and responsible textile development.

What makes MU a strategic trade fair for your company?

Milano Unica remains one of the most strategic international trade fairs for Brito Knitting because it brings together a highly curated community of predominantly European exhibitors recognised for their quality, innovation and technical expertise. The event attracts fashion brands that value premium materials, specialised know-how and reliable manufacturing partners, and this profile perfectly matches Brito Knitting’s positioning.

How has your experience at MU evolved over the years?

Our experience at Milano Unica has been consistently positive and has evolved alongside Brito Knitting’s international growth strategy.

MU has invested significantly in its digital ecosystem, particularly through e-MilanoUnica Connect. How valuable is this platform for increasing your visibility before, during, and after the fair?

For Brito Knitting, it offers continuous visibility by promoting our developments, editorial features, and curated content during and after the event. We have already been featured several times by Milano Unica, which has significantly increased our exposure and reinforced our positioning among international buyers.

If visitors only had 60 seconds at your stand, which sample would you show them first and why?

One of the highlights of our collection is BK0856.0, an interlock fabric that combines Lyocell a sustainably fibre, renowned for its exceptionally soft touch and fluid drape, with Nanea™, a new-generation biodegradable and fully recyclable polyester. The result is a sustainable fabric that combines comfort and performance while maintaining the durability and quality expected for premium fashion brands.

Share one fact about your company that international customers may not know. Tell us three things visitors will discover at your stand that they won’t find on your website.
