BRAZ COSTA TAKES THE FUTURE OF TEXTILES TO THE ETP ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The 18th Annual European Textiles Conference of the ETP (European Technological Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing), of which CITEVE, ATP and CeNTI are associate members, has already been scheduled for the 14th and 15th of May, in Mechelen, Belgium. Braz Costa, general director of CITEVE and vice-president of Textile ETP will participate in a round table whose theme is ‘From Research to the Market’.

Over the two days of the Conference, it will present the EU Textile Research Partnership, the first research and innovation funding program of the Union entirely dedicated to the textile sector. Visionary plenary talks, interactive thematic sessions, thought-provoking panel discussions, and many networking opportunities are also part of the program. Furthermore, the event will combine with the annual General Assembly of ETP Têxtil, where only members will participate.

Textile ETP also offers the opportunity to take part in a visit to Hogent’s FTILab+ research center, which is staffed by experts in the fields of textiles, textile technology, and fashion, on 13th May in the afternoon. In collaboration with the European Innovation Council (EIC), the event will bring together start-up and scaling companies across Europe to innovate in sustainable, digital, smart, and technical textiles.
