BRAVIAN USES BALLISTIC VESTS FOR CLOTHING PRODUCTION

Bravian, a menswear brand from Latino Group, has a new SS23 collection that follows a strong inspiration and heritage in the military area. Having the metaverse as a mood board, the Portuguese brand advances with the use of unlikely materials, as explained by Andreia Silva, head of design: “We created a 3D capsule using a mesh that in the military area is used in ballistic vests. These pieces have an unusual wearability and have a different look”.

‘Military Mesh’ is used throughout the collection in details (pockets and heat-sealed panels) and complete pieces like an oversized hooded bomber or structured vest.

“Spacetec fabric is used in body armor and bulletproof clothing construction. This allows a long-lasting functionality using Coolmax Fresh FX fibers that actively suppress the growth of bacteria, leading to a permanent feeling of freshness”, adds Andreia Silva in statements to T Jornal. The fabric also has a 3D effect.

Cotton and silk shirts, Supima cotton t-shirts with digital holographic designs, cotton and bamboo hoodies, and twill shorts with the latest enzymatic washing and dyeing techniques, using zero chemicals and water, are other highlights of this SS23 collection.

Andreia Silva adds that Bravian pieces will be on sale at Flying Solo in New York. “We will also be part of the opening store for Flying Solo in Paris and be on sale on the digital platform of El Corte Inglés and Spartoo”. “We are very excited this season to further capitalize on BRVN’s areas of expertise, intellectual concepts combined with the latest in fabric and production technology,” concludes the Head of Design.
