Bloomati was awarded yesterday with the ISPO TEXTRENDS AWARD 2025 in the Base Layer category. Its jersey 073.0369 was named Best Product, impressing the jury with its luxurious blend of 85% micromodal and 15% silk. On the awards website, the fabric’s exceptional softness is highlighted, along with the Young Skin finish with Aloe Vera, which helps hydrate the skin and protect it against external aggressions, while also being ideal for sensitive skin thanks to its soothing effect.
ISPO also underlines the product’s multifunctional features: antistatic properties, a cooling effect on the skin, and light protection against insect bites and sun exposure. Thanks to its breathability, it is recommended for daily wear.

Rui Moreira, sales representative at Bloomati, confirmed the success of this innovation to T Jornal: “80% of the contacts were driven by the ISPO Awards. There was great curiosity from visitors and doors opened to new contacts,” he says, highlighting the communication achieved with the world’s leading sportswear brand, which may result in a special project using this specific fabric.
“We were successful in the choice we submitted,” he adds, acknowledging that the fact people stopped at the stand to see the product up close also made it possible to present other high-quality and sustainable options, largely cellulose-based—such as Tencel and various viscoses.
“We have been finding niches that are looking for quality. At the same time, we have been investing in a presence that is increasingly recognized; there are already contacts made previously that are now showing interest in working with us,” he adds.
Although the fair went well for Bloomati, Rui Moreira does not hide that the inclusion of Sunday in the trade fair calendar did not bring significant gains for exhibitors, with fewer brands visiting the event.
Management will follow the move of the fair to Amsterdam next year. “Everything has its time. At the moment, the fair is losing brands and is saturated. I believe that, with the move to Amsterdam, we will be closer to the brands and that it may be better,” says André Carvalho.

Bloomati’s ISPO innovation is simultaneously being presented at Texpremium, taking place today and tomorrow in Shoreditch, London. This new, “more refined” venue appeals to André Carvalho for its English style, although the first opening hours were slower than expected.
“We have received some sample requests, namely for American fleece, Turkish fleece and velvet, always on a sustainable basis, with organic cotton. The prospects are good, but it is still early,” he says to T Jornal in the early afternoon. While the location could be more privileged—they feel they are positioned at the back of the space—they believe in the potential of this change, reflected in a less corporate and more authentic environment.
