Bloomati shows at Techtextil how finishing elevates the product

Bloomati chose the Techtextil stage to present the potential of its finishing services. Speaking to T Jornal, the sales team highlighted the Bye Bye Rain and Be Fresh finishes, using as an example a knitted fabric developed for golf—a sport that demands textiles capable of ensuring freshness over several hours, with anti-odour properties and a degree of water repellency.

Based on these requirements, the Carvema group brand developed the article displayed at the stand: a fabric composed of 60% recycled polyamide and 40% conventional polyamide, in a piqué structure ideal for golf polos. It incorporates three key finishes—antibacterial, water repellency and UV protection—resulting in a high value-added product.

This approach reflects Bloomati’s strategy over recent years, broadening its offer beyond the fashion segment to also target sportswear and professional clothing.

Rui Moreira, from the sales department, told T Jornal that a single contact alone justified participation in the fair, reinforcing this year’s Techtextil message: chance is the most important guest. “We can prepare, plan and execute, but we never know who we will meet or what opportunities may arise. It is precisely this unexpected factor that holds part of the value of trade fairs as privileged meeting points.”

Bloomati’s participation in Techtextil was part of the Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL project, promoted by ATP – the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association.
