This weekend, Belfama shared a video detailing its energy savings as a result of its investment in solar energy. 20% of the company’s electricity needs are already met thanks to the 514 photovoltaic panels placed on the company’s roof. This installation prevents the emission of 199.45 tonnes of CO2 per year and the burning of 169.24 tonnes of coal per year, which is equivalent to planting 274 trees every year.
The company, which specializes in terry, has set targets for 2030 for the total use of electricity from renewable sources, a 25% reduction in water use, at least half of its car fleet to be made up of zero-emission vehicles and a 15% increase in recycled materials in its products.
‘Belfama is pursuing its ambitions through a third generation for which its greatest ambition is to produce terry products efficiently, with quality and sustainability, treating the environment and people fairly,’ it is stated on the website.
