AIDA HOME LIVING NOW PRESENT IN 25 COUNTRIES

With just a little over two years of activity, AIDA Home Living has conquered the world and is now present in around 25 countries via multi-brand shops and online. “Our aim is to intensify our presence in existing markets and at the same time expand the brand,” says Inês Santoalha Carneiro, co-founder of the Portuguese home textiles brand.

Exports already account for 70 per cent of the company’s turnover and its main markets are Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States. “The international strategy is divided into various actions such as taking part in trade fairs, namely Maison et Object, Ambient, Index Dubai and we believe that digital investment is also very important,” she says.

Aida was recently in Dubai, from where the company learnt about business opportunities: “we believe that we can develop several businesses in various countries in the Middle East. It was a risky bet, but we believe it’s necessary to take risks to understand the needs and shortcomings of the different markets and to be able to respond,” she told T Jornal.

In terms of products, they recently launched new bed linen collections “in which the customer can choose the quality of fabric they want, from percale to satin, which can go up to 800 threads,” explains Inês Santoalha Carneiro, anticipating the arrival of new products on 17 June.

Regarding the closing of accounts for 2023, she says the company has “exceeded the targets set” and adds that in the first half of 2024 the company has already achieved 80 per cent of the objectives set at the beginning of the year, and expects to close with a turnover of around 800,000 euros.
