A. Sampaio & Filhos’ presence at Techtextil 2026 will focus on its Protection+ brand. Speaking to T Jornal, the circular knitting company highlights that the different ranges under this label reflect its more than 75 years of know-how and result from extensive research and development work.
The main novelty is the increased use of merino wool across the various ranges, combining the natural advantages of this fibre with high levels of tenacity and resistance.
“New blends and compositions, combined with knitting processes refined according to specific requirements and cutting-edge finishing techniques, result in fabrics that, in addition to meeting the required protection parameters, offer superior levels of comfort and performance,” the company states in a press release sent to T Jornal.
Created in 2013, the Protection+ by A. Sampaio brand includes five ranges: Protection+ Industrial Laundry, Protection+ Extreme, Protection+ Thermoregulation, Protection+ Comfort and Protection+ High Visibility.
Its applications are diverse, targeting sectors such as gas, oil and electricity, as well as security forces, firefighters and the military. The developed fabrics meet requirements such as flame retardancy, anti-static properties, cut resistance and high visibility, the company explains.
A. Sampaio & Filhos’ participation in Techtextil is part of the Sustainable Textile & Apparel From Portugal project, promoted by ATP – the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association.
