Two products ‘authored’ by Portuguese companies A. Sampaio and TMG Textiles, more specifically knitwear, received the ‘100% Juri like’ distinction from Performance Days. References 69446 from A. Sampaio & Filhos and SILTEX 499 from TMG Textiles appeared in the event’s trends forum, which closed its doors last Thursday, in the Midlayer and Safety, Health & Durability categories, respectively.
The A. Sampaio article has 6% elastane, 49% merino wool, and 45% recycled polyester. “RWS-certified merino wool, a 100% natural fiber, was mixed with GRS-certified recycled polyester, a synthetic, which proves that the differences can complement each other”, reads the description presented on the Performance Days website. “This remarkable mixture allowed the development of a fabric with a smaller footprint, which, depending on its function, can be used on both sides”. The advantages highlighted also include thermal regulation and the fabric’s ability to manage moisture while being gentle on the skin.
As for TMG’s innovation, it is 100% polypropylene and has Oekotex standard 100, Oekotex STeP, and The Higg Index certifications. “Polypropylene is the lightest fiber that can be used in the textile industry. It has high flexibility, low density, low thermal conductivity, and low moisture absorption”, concluded the organization in the product description. Static electrification is minimal, it has superior resistance to chemicals, and due to its characteristics, it is hydrophobic with antibacterial properties.
Furthermore, a selection of Portuguese fabrics appeared in the Performance Days Trend Forum. A. Sampaio & Filhos, LMA, Sidónios, and TMG Textiles had a total of 13 references displayed at the Trend Forum, distributed across the categories Base Layer, Mid Layer, Shirts, Function Meets Fashion and Safety, Health & Durability.
A. Sampaio was represented in the Mid Layer category with articles 69233 and 69446 and at Function Meets Fashion with the reference 69447. LMA had the references Ecoblend Techfabric and Green Flex Ease in the Mid-Layer category, and Sidónios had three fabrics: C230416 in the Base Layer selection, C240045 in Mid Layer, and C230424 in Function Meets Fashion.
Finally, TMG was at the forum in Base Layer with Flash 802 and Flash 048, in Shirts with Panda 134, in Function Meets Fashion with Organic 946, and Safety, Health & Durability with SILTEX 499.
