6Dias Têxteis is committed to making their fabrics known to the world as increasingly sustainable. After Munich Fabric Start on 21 and 22 January, the company is preparing their bags for Première Vision Paris with new and recycled fibres – ECOVERO, banana, nettle, pineapple, mushroom and orange are some of the examples given by the sales team to T Jornal.
‘Première Vision Paris is the trade fair we do that works best for us. In this edition we’re bringing different, sustainable constructions, all produced in our weaving mill,’ say the trio Patrícia Dias (administrator), Isabel Cardoso and Estela Silva (sales). Several meetings with clients have already been scheduled for 11 to 13 February, so we expect an edition as good as or better than last year’s.
‘The last edition went well, but we think the organisation should think about promoting the European market more and not mixing companies from outside the EU, such as Turks and Chinese, with European companies.’ Alternatively, they suggest a division into pavilions or rows to make competition fairer.
The Munich fair went well, the company welcomed customers to their stand and established new contacts that they are now following up on. ‘We’re sharing samples with potential customers in the hope that they’ll turn into orders. The German market is a difficult one, but one that the company wants to increase in 2025,’ they say. Goals for the near future also include making more regular visits to customers and evaluating the investment of taking part in Première Vision New York in 2026.
