International buyers surfed Modtissimo’s green wave

The record number of foreign buyers is one of the highlights of MODtissimo’s 54^th edition, which took place from October 2^nd to 3^rd at Alfândega do Porto.

Spanish, French and German are the nationalities most represented amongst the 400 professional visitors, of ten different nationalities, lured to Porto by the unique Portuguese fashion salon.

Sustainability is the theme of this edition, and also the greatest common denominator encompassing the 400 collections present at the fair.

“The concern with environmental and sustainability issues is common to all attendees – exhibitors and buyers. We are a new community, surfing the green wave as a whole”, observes Manuel Serrão, CEO of Selectiva Moda, the association organizing the event.

All the space available at Alfândega was taken over by Modtissimo, which stretches over an area of six thousand m² and features a new space – the See Now Buy Now Market, a space open to the public where 40 brands are selling clothes and accessories.

The Porto’s airport will host, as usual, the first MODtissimo of next year, scheduled for February 19^th and 20^th.
