The countdown to MODtissimo’s 56th edition, which will take place at Alfândega do Porto on September 23rd and 24th, started last Wednesday, June 17, with the opening of registrations. This marks the return of the oldest textile salon in the Iberian Peninsula and the only one in Portugal dedicated to the textile and clothing industry.
Overcome the period of containment and restrictions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, the Portuguese fashion and textiles are once again ready to show their innovative and sustainable products, and to receive many customers coming from all over the world.
Under the “linked” theme, MODtissimo 56 will once again fully undertake the green and sustainable commitment, which is now the flag of the Portuguese textile and clothing industry. One of the features will be the iTechStyle Green Circle – Sustainability Showcase, a joint initiative of CITEVE and Selectiva Moda that shows to the world the extraordinary ability of the Portuguese textile and clothing industry to design and manufacture sustainable products.
In addition to exhibiting Fabrics and clothing accessories for the manufacturing sector, MODtissimo is also an anchor for the multiple initiatives of the Porto Fashion Week, a vast program of activities related to fashion taking place in multiple parts of the city, such as Fashion Nigth Out – which will happen on September 25th – the Fashion People contest, which will be launched in a few days, and the Fashion Film Festival, whose registrations opened in the beginning of this week.
