PORTUGUESE MASKS HELP BREATHE AT THE EUROPEAN SUMMIT

It was the gift that the Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa took to Brussels to hand over to his European colleagues. A kit with 16 masks made in Portugal, a CITEVE choice based on criteria such as breathability and particle retention. RDD Textiles, Tetribérica, António Manuel de Sousa, Gio Rodrigues Wise Box, Temasa and Color For Tex were the companies that produced the masks, delivered in a Sedacor box.

The order came directly from the Prime Minister’s office, who contacted CITEVE, and in three days a kit with 16 masks was created for each one of the 29 European Summit delegations, with personalized masks for each of the European leaders and a set of others for the remaining members of the delegation, embellished with the flags of the respective countries.

Manufactured at António Manuel de Sousa, Gio Rodrigues’ masks have a blue and green pattern and are unisex, while the white masks personalized with the name and flag of each head of state and government were made by RDD Textiles and Tetribérica. The white pleated mask produced by the RDD textile is the one usually used by the Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa.

The sets also included a mask with motifs alluding to the Barcelos rooster, manufactured by Color For Tex, a model designed by Temasa – Têxtil do Marco that mimics denim, and another with yellow, blue, red and green stripes, allusive to the Madeira island and manufactured by António Manuel de Sousa.
