POLOPIQUÉ HEADQUARTERS WINS ARCHITECTURE AWARD

The adaptation of the stone buildings of the old Quinta de Vilar to host the headquarters of Polopiqué was awarded by the English magazine APR, which evaluates projects from all over the world every year. Distinguished with the second prize in the Urban Design & Architectural Design category, the project used the old housing buildings and outbuildings intended for farming, uniting them and transforming them into modern structures that accommodate the various areas of the company’s headquarters.

In what used to be the residential building now stands the reception, while the administrative building, on an upper floor, occupies the old cellar. The lower floor is divided into two distinct areas: one open space work area for employees, and a multi-purpose space for product presentation.

On top of the reception is the commercial building, an open space that houses the commercial and design teams. The lower floor is divided equally into three work areas aimed at product development and meeting rooms. There is also an outdoor garden and break area, in the old granary.
