The organization of Colombiatex has decided to award the Portuguese presence at the all-important Medellín trade show, endowing Associação Selectiva Moda with a special acknowledgement prize. The award was received by Manuel Cavadas, the ASM representative at the fair.
“Special thanks to Associação Selectiva Moda for betting on Colombiatex of the Americas as the strategic stage for the Fashion System”, reads the recognition plate in acknowledgement for the many years of cooperation between Selectiva Moda and Inexmoda, the entity that organizes the most important sourcing fair in Latin America.
The President of Inexmoda, Carlos Botero, purposefully went to the event during its last day, on Thursday, January 23, and visited the Selectiva Moda stand to deliver the distinction to the ASM representative at the fair, Manuel Cavadas.
In this participation at the Medellín fair, which happened between January 21 to 23, the From Portugal committee, put together by Associação Selectiva Moda, counted with the participation of the following Portuguese companies: Fitecom, Natcal, Realfio and Ridi, which were joined also by Adalberto Estampados, Paulo de Oliveira and Penteadora.
The Portuguese presence at the fair was yet another initiative by Selectiva Moda and ATP – Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal – in the scope of the From Portugal project, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the field of fashion. The project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, in the context of Compete 2020 and through the European Regional Development Fund.
