Each day more directed towards environmentally responsible policies, Unifardas has decided to start double packaging the uniforms it manufactures, which will save 75 thousand bags, or in other words, 750 kilograms of plastic every year.
Since early July, the company founded by Domingos Araújo (in the photo) has abandoned individual bags and started packaging the two-piece uniforms into a single package. The decision is part of Unifardas’ new strategy, aimed at becoming a model for sustainable production, both internally and externally.
Before, Unifardas had already eliminated the use of plastic bottles, by offering a reusable bottle to all its employees, alongside with the installation of water fountains.
Specialized in workwear manufacture, Unifardas closed 2018 with a turnover of 1 million euro. Amongst its clients are big industrial groups such as Sonae or Sunviauto, and several schools and hospitals.
