Troficolor teaches old fabric new tricks

Upcycling is the keyword of Troficolor’s the project, which consists of using creativity to give a new life to overproduction pieces that were stuck in stocks. “The true sustainability is here since reusing fabric avoids all the environmental costs of a brand-new production, which means 0% water consumption, energy or chemicals”, explain Carlos Serra, Troficolor CEO.

Troficolor takes denim, corduroy and flannel and reuses them in a creative way, to make, for example, two-sided pieces: denim on one side and flannel on the other – one of their eight samples selected to be showcased at the Première Vision Forum, which took place this week at Parc des Expositions de Villepinte, in Paris.

“Our main concern hearing what people feel and look for – and give them what they need. That is what Upcycling is all about. We offer our clients an exclusive product, 100% in line with the market’s general trend, at a very attractive cost”, sentences Carlos Serra (in the picture, boasting a shirt made with fabric used in the Upcycling project).
