ROQ UNVEILS MACHINE ABLE TO MAKE 100 MASKS PER MINUTE

It’s called ROQMASK, it’s completely automated and able to make up to 120 masks every minute. Designed by S. Roque, the world’s leading company in machinery production for textile printing, the new machine was totally conceived and designed in just two months, as a response to a challenge set by CITEVE. Now in the final stages of testing, is already being ordered by companies that ventured into mask production.

With the ability of making two masks every second, the machine will easily reach a production higher than 100 masks per minute, which in case of continuous labour will allow for a daily production of around 150 thousand units. The delivery of the first machines is scheduled for July.

“Designed to make surgical masks Type I and Type II – model A, ROQMASK is a fully automated equipment that produces, through ultrasound welding, masks with up to four layers, with the insertion of a nasal clip and the application of an elastic band”, said the company.

A world leader in production of machinery for textile printing, last year S. Roque had a sales volume of about 53 million euro, and employs more than 500 workers. With Europe at the helm, their clients are scattered all around the world in countries like South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Angola, Kuwait, India, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodja, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Honduras, El Salvador and the USA.
