Increasingly innovative and environmentally responsible, the Made in Portugal fashion scored points at Neonyt Berlin, the trade fair that specializes in ethical and sustainable fashion, which took place until yesterday as part of the Berlin Fashion Week.
In a joint initiative of CITEVE and Selectiva Moda, the Green Circle showcase presented a selection of models created by Portuguese designers, from sustainable materials provided by seven Portuguese companies: A. Sampaio & Filhos, Joaps, Inovafil, LMA, Pé de Chumbo, Scorecode e Tintex.
In addition to the Green Circle showcase, devoted to sustainable fashion, the From Portugal entourage, an initiative of Associação Selectiva Moda, featured the brands Marita Moreno, Vintage For a Cause and Zouri. To them joined the companies ERT Textil Portugal, Riopele, Somelos and Lion of Porches (the latter present at Panorama, another Berlin Fashion Week event).
“This event is a reference regarding sustainable fashion, but not only. It also raises awareness of the importance of combining sustainability with technology and innovation”, says Marita Setas Ferro, Marita Moreno CEO & designer, a brand that alongside Zouri is betting on sustainable and innovative materials.
