LUXURY HOTELS ARE LAMEIRINHO’S STRATEGIC TARGET

Lameirinho is strategically invested in broadening its client portfolio in the ‘contract’ area, which supplies premium and luxury hotels and restaurants. “The ‘contract’ area is currently worth 1.5 million euro per year and there’s still a big margin for growth”, ensures Tânia Lima, the group’s marketing manager, which closed 2019 with a business volume of around 54 million euro, of which 89% correspond to exports.

Lameirinho’s productive capacity is approximately five million items per year, featuring a wide array of fabrics: percale, flannel, dyed yarn, jacquard and satin. This range of products may be produced in 100% cotton, but also other fibres and blends.

For the internal market, the textile group from Pevidém supplies cruise ships (for Douro Azul, who owns the packet boat World Explorer, suited to sail through the icy waters of the Arctic and Antarctic), hotels such as Le Monumental Palace (Porto), Dunas Douradas Beach Club or Quinta do Lago Resort, as well as chains like Tivoli, Intercontinental, Porto Bay, Marriot, Sana, Anantara or Avani.

This bet on luxury hotels includes deepening their presence in France, one of Lameirinho’s main external markets, where they are already supplying the Parisian hotel Plaza Athénée.
