Medical protective clothing was already one of Trotinete’s fields of action, but the significance of this sector is now greater than ever before. The company based in Leça do Balio has broadened its Medical+ catalogue, which now includes health uniforms, patients’ garments and personal protection equipment (PPE), with several articles now carrying CITEVE’s security certification seal.
Through the workwear brand Trot, the textile company founded by Matilde Vasconcelos is a habitué in the health sector trade fairs. Now, with the increase in orders, the company has been broadening its collection, and in the past weeks has certified eight models of protective clothing.
Surgical gowns, neck protection and coveralls – disposable models made from TNT (non-woven fabric), or reusable in 100% cotton – are some of the company’s brand-new items that carry the Covid-19 Approved seal given by CITEVE (Centro Tecnológico do Têxtil e Vestuário), according to the regulations of the Portuguese Directorate General for Health and Infarmed.
Besides the PPEs, the Trot catalogue for 2020 – which is already available online – also features several new designs in hospital uniforms, such as smocks and scrubs, but also in patients’ clothing, both for hospital stays or domestic use.
