SANJO AND BUREL TOGETHER FOR A PAIR OF SNEAKERS

Sanjo, the 100%  Portuguese brand of sports shoes, joined Burel Mountain Originals to create a collection of sneakers perfect for the winter: warm and water resistant thanks to the burel fabric. Born at the top of Serra da Estrela, in Manteigas, burel is the most traditional wool fabric in the local wool industry, and is usually used by shepherds.

Resistant and versatile, it often gives life to capes and jackets for rainy, snowy and cold mountain days. Now, it became part of the Sanjo, in a model made with this 100% natural wool and water resistant fabric, perfect to keep your feet warm and dry on the coldest and rainiest days.

Available in the K100 and K200 models, these sneakers can be found in shades of lilac, gray, beige and green.

Founded in 1933, Sanjo started not as a shoe factory, but as a hat manufacturer, and was the most successful sports shoe brand in Portugal in the 50s, 60s and 70s. After years of success, Sanjo was forced to close its doors in 1974, not able to compete with international brands. Now, it’s back again, with 100% Portuguese production and a new creative approach.
