Specialized in swimwear, Nortada decided to add to its collection another essential accessory: individual protection masks with patterns that match the brand’s swimwear articles.
In March, due to the pandemic, the brand was forced to suspend more than half of its SS20 collection. “Most of the companies we work with went into lay-off, we suffered a huge loss…”, says Dores Pestana, responsible for the brand.
“During that same month, and with no time left to lose, we created the Happy Masks, with fun patterns, very different from the traditional sad looking masks”, says Dores between laughs.
Available in three models (child and two adult sizes), the masks are made of Lycra and are currently certified by the Portuguese footwear technology centre for 20 to 25 washes.
“We have many models that match our bikinis and swimsuits. Anyone who knows our brand knows that we always bet on the most cheerful prints”, reveals Dores Pestana.
