In the fight against Covid-19, the company MTEX NS has just presented the first equipment capable of sterilizing clothing, footwear and other objects in just twenty minutes. It is an innovative machine that releases ozone gas in small concentrations in a controlled and safe environment.
The equipment’s study and scientific validation took place in recent months at the University of Zaragoza, in Spain, and research in still ongoing. At this moment, CITEVE is evaluating the potential use of this methodology in different fabrics, and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is studying the effectiveness of this system in the fight against other viruses.
The MTEX NS CEO, Elói Ferreira, admitted the “great pride” it represents for the company to have a “scientifically validated solution to combat the plague of the moment”, and added that the company has “the green light for the commercialization of this equipment that adds security to everybody’s daily life”.
