Hindu – Technical Textiles has just launch an antiviral solution that inactivates the new Coronavirus within a few minutes. It is a finish that takes advantage of the most advanced chemical technology applied in finishing knitwear, fabrics and non-woven fabrics.
Called Protect By Hindu, “this innovative finish can be used in masks, protective gloves, gowns and all types of clothing, and has a proven effectiveness after several washes”, says the company, adding that the new coating is “capable of inhibiting viruses and bacteria, including the new Coronavirus, up to 99.9% ”.
Hindu clarifies that “the product effectiveness has been tested and certified according to ISO 20743, ISO 18184 and AATCC100”, and that “the tests were carried out by Microbe Investigations AG and Bureau Veritas”.
The pandemic will continue to affect people’s lives, and therefore “what was once a requirement for the medical profession, is now passing to the clothing, decoration, and automobile sectors, among others”, emphasizes Luís Cristino, Hindu’s CEO.
