GREENPRINT INVESTS 300 THOUSAND AND TURNS TO MASKS

The pressing shop Greenprint – Motivos Decorativos Têxteis is undertaking a 300 thousand euro investment directed at converting its unit towards mask production. With this new activity, the Barcelos-based company that is usually dedicated to textile pressing, has not only managed to keep all the current employees, but also to create more jobs.

This is one of the first projects to receive grants from the Norte 2020, in the scope of the financing programme for micro and small companies who present projects relevant for the current fight against Covid-19. Aside Greenprint, the first Norte 2020 grants include three other projects.

“Approximately 1 million euros of incentive has been allocated, with a maximum non-refundable fee of 80 percent, which can be increased by 15 percentage points if the project is completed within two months”, explains the memo from the CCDR-N, also adding that the programme is endowed with 12 million euro for the northern region, and that micro and small companies may still submit their projects.

“The memo has received some dozen applications and is open until May 29th, comprising investments made on new or improved methods of production, logistics or distribution, as well as increased production”, the CCDR-N clarified.
