DAVID CATALÁN’S VIDEOSHOW PREMIERED AT MILAN FASHION WEEK

It was via videoshow that David Catalán marked its presence in the official calendar of the Milano Fashion Week. By invitation of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, in a totally digital version and before viewers from all over the world, the designer presented his new Spring-Summer 2021 collection, in a completely audiovisual and online format. “A new experience, which also has some advantages”, highlights the stylist.

“We had to think about a more visual and graphic presentation. And even during production, we had to respect all the distance rules”, recalls the designer, who had the support of Paulo Cravo, from the Bloom platform, to develop his presentation.

For the “virtual fashion show”, David Catalán displayed a presentation video and a photographic look book, presenting the first models of the new collection in a botanical garden environment,. “I really love the runway shows, the experience of seeing the pieces go by, but making this video was a fun experience, and it has some advantages, for instance, it allows you to see the clothes more closely and play with the environment”, he stresses.

After the premiere, during Milan Fashion Week – which was broadcast live by several partners of the organization, such as the New York Times or Vogue –, David Catalán’s presentation is now available on the Milano Digital Fashion Week online platform, and will be presented at other digital trade shows. In September, the designer hopes to be able to show the complete collection in a conventional fashion show.
