Crafil sets a foothold in Pakistan to conquer Asia

Crafil has established a partnership with a local manufacturer in Pakistan to sell the company’s sewing threads for the entire Asian continent, namely in China, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

“Every two months we fly over a team to control the production quality, ensuring that the threads manufactured there live up to our standards”, says Vítor Alves, 45, leader and founder of this company that specializes in sewing thread for denim.

The company’s internationalization began in 2006, just two years after its establishment, with the creation of an associate in Tunisia, who owns a warehouse that guarantees a quick and permanent stock service for the factories in Northern Africa that manufacture jeans for Crafil’s clients.

“Some of the best brands in the world use Crafil threads”, explains Vítor Alves, who supplies brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Pepe Jeans or Salsa.

“A quick response and competitive prices are the basis of our competitiveness, but I can’t help but feeling satisfaction when I see that we are sought for our innovations rather than just for our prices”, states Crafil’s founder, proud of the 15-year path that transformed a small company from Riba d’Ave into an innovative industrial corporation, with a subsidiary in Tunisia and a partnership in Pakistan.
