SWITZERLAND IS A PLUS FOR FARDYLOR’S EXPORTS

The white cross on Switzerland’s flag might as well be seen as an ominous plus sign by the Portuguese Fardylor. The company specialized in workwear has found in the Portuguese community in Switzerland its main niche market, and is now reinforcing that connection with a sales agent specially for the country.

“It’s an audience that has always searched for us, and purchased our products while visiting Portugal, especially for the catering and hospitality areas”, says Sónia Gomes, director of the company that specializes in manufacturing work garments. Founded in the year 2000, Fardylor started by manufacturing in a Private Label regime and is now investing on small quantities to sell to the public.

The company took advantage of this umbilical connection to kick-start their internationalization project, hiring Sofia Pinto, a sales agent – the first agent to work abroad –specifically for the Swiss market. “With an agent of ours establishing contacts over there, the work is greatly facilitated because it no longer relies on those visiting moments”, explains the company CEO.

Besides that local presence, Fardylor is also investing on digital platforms. The company has launched a new website in 2018, with an online store, with which it hopes to get closer to its consumers, both internally and abroad. “Our strategy includes the online channel, featuring a good platform that breaks our physical borders”, completes Sónia Gomes.
