SALSA IS AT THE GRAN VIA, IN MADRID

It’s at the Gran Via, the most famous and exclusive commercial area of the Spanish capital, that Salsa opened the doors of its flagship store. The location, in the area where all the biggest luxury brands are gathered, used to be the former fabric store Julián López, in the historic Matesanz building, number 27 of the Gran Via.

With stores in cities like Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Saragoza or Ciudad Real, Salsa also own 90 corner stores in Spain, dispersed throughout the main El Corte Inglès department stores.

Last year, the Portuguese denim company, now run by the Spaniard José Antonio Ramos, began a process of renovation of its commercial network, which, besides introducing a new store concept, also diversified onto new categories beyond denim.

Now integrated into Sonae’s Sports & Fashion division, Salsa predicted an estimated business volume in the order of 220 million euro by the end of 2019, of which approximately 50 million correspond to business in Spain.
