MÖM(E) DISTINGUISHED IN JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS

Möm(e) was distinguished with the bronze medal at the Junior Design Awards, in the “Best Children’s Eco Fashion Brand” category. An award given by the British magazine Junior Design, which leaves the creator of the sustainable children’s fashion brand confident in the future.

“It is a giant recognition for our brand, which undoubtedly deserves this award. I am very proud and confident in the future”, says Inês Camaño Garcia, mentor and designer of the Portuguese children’s fashion brand.

With this new distinction in the curriculum, Möm(e) now hopes to take firmer steps into internationalization, especially in the United Kingdom, country of origin of the Junior Design Awards. “We hope that this recognition opens new doors for us in the UK, where we already work, but would like to increase our presence”, explains Inês.

The bronze medal of the Junior Design Awards was given to Möm(e) based on three pieces from the “Re.pen.sar” collection, which, as the designer explains, is a trip to her childhood. “It is a collection with many earth tones, like aubergine and brown, all colours that remind me of my childhood. We also have a newborn line in a raw and grey pallet inspired by Brussels, where I lived as a child”, she explains.

Despite the pandemic, Möm(e) has managed to consolidate its brand around the world. An example is its recent expansion to more stores in the USA and the United Kingdom, as well as entering in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Canada.
